Best Practice Database

This database is one of the outputs of the SCOW project. It includes 14 records with detailed technical and economical information about collection and specially treatment systems using different decentralized composting models with good results and functioning.

The elaboration of this output involves the following tasks:

-Analysis of experiences related to the project: commercial waste collections, waste management in tourist areas, biowaste composting in mini-compost plants, management of farm composting plants, other biological treatments at a small scale, compost marketing and sale, monitoring, etc.

- Elaboration of a database gathering successful management models.

- Identification of key elements to ensure a successful implementation of SCOW general model.
